Garth purchased the company in 1986 and relocated from town to purpose built facilities in 2010.

An automotive diesel engineer with 10 years in sales and 20 years at Moller Johnsons is the experience Robert brings to the team. Added to that he's grown up with and "mucked around" with tractors for years. 

"I can work on anything, but it's truck sales I'm doing these days - new or used Isuzus, all makes of used trucks, whether large or small."

Dorothy is the central cog in the wheel of Moller Johnson Motors Ltd. With 13 years in the motor industry and a background in accounting, Dorothy makes sure all the paperwork is in order and is ususally the first voice you hear when you call on the phone.

After 49 years at Moller Johnson you'd think Gerald would be looking forward to slowing down, but he still speaks enthusiastically about his work, his love for meeting and talking with people and his drive to keep his customers satisfied.

Steve Wick

Assistant Foreman

Steve has probably forgotten more than most people know about Isuzu trucks. "I've been wormking with them since they were Bedford Isuzu - I know all their ins and outs." Steve says his specialty is 4 wheel drives but he can work on anything. He's a member of the Isuzu Technicians' Guild and consistently reaches top rankings - notably 8th in New Zealand in 2008 and second in 2009.

"I get phone calls from dealers and mechanics all over the country and I can sort most things out. Isuzus are what I know best."

Todd Kells

Apprentice Diesel Mechanic

Todd's one of those people who's only happy when he's got grease on his hands. "I've loved servicing and maintaining trucks for years and years, but I can work on anything." Todd's been with Moller Johnson for nine months but previously worked inj fleet servicing. 

"My goal is to make sure I never see that same vehicle back for the same problem. You've got to get the job done properly - the first time."

"Right part - first time" that's the standard Marc sets for himself to deliver to Moller Johnson's customers. Marc completed his NZ MITO Parts Apprenticeship and Business management course and is proud of his eight years service at Moller Johnson's. 

"We can supply parts for all makes and models of cars and trucks. We have a 24 hour callout and a two year warranty with any new Isuzu part."

Kevin (Boxer) Barry

Mechanic

Boxer's had one year at Moller Johnson Motors and 25 years in the motor trade so he's no newbie when it comes to mechanics. He was a fitter by trade, but it was only a small step to becoming a mechanic and he loves what he's doing.  

"I have a broad based knowledge of all trucks, trailers and machinery and can turn my hand to anything."

Subhas Chand

Mechanic

Electrics and Electronics are Subhas's specialty and with 4 1/2 years at Moller Johnsons and 15 years in the motor trade, Subhas is right up to date. Subhas likes working with the customers and is happy when he knows they're satisfied with the work he's done on their vehicle.

"I can work on anything, mostly cars, but all makes and models, new and used. I'll servicing, tyres and wheel balancing."

Matthew Sandford

Truck Sales

Matt's been in the Heavy Transport industry for 20 years, working as fully qualified diesel mechanic, driver or both - so he knows what it's like to be on both sides of the wheel. Matt's experience in the cab means his drive in sales is about supplying a good service to the industry and making sure the truck suits the buyer.

"I'm keen and enthusiastic to hear from buyers, to talk them through their purchase and to make sure they drive away happy."

Nigel Burdon

Auto Technician

Nigel works almost exclusively with a local transport company servicing their trucks and heavy machinery. Nigel's on the call ouit rotation which gives him the opportunity to work on other vehicles and use the skills he's gained from 15 years in the motor trade.

"I've always dabbled in machinery and motors, so it's always been an interest. These days it doesn't pay to specialize in one area, things change so fast so I like to think I have an all-round ability to see a fault and fix it."
